Some Important Env Variables

• HOME
  • Your home directory (can often be abbreviated as "~")
  • TERM
    • The type of terminal you are running. Typical choices are ansi, vt100 and xterm
  • PWD
    • Current working directory
  • PAGER
    • Paging program to use. We recommend less.
  • PATH
    • List of directories to search for commands
